Inner Wheel on Tour

As part of the 100th anniversary, Inner Wheel is making an impressive statement of solidarity and commitment with a special bus tour across Switzerland. The district board will make stops in various Swiss cities on four Saturdays, using a blue VW bus to showcase the diversity of Inner Wheel Clubs and highlight their charitable projects.

Stop 1: February 27,  Langenthal

The journey begins on February 27 in Langenthal, the residence of this year's Governor, Franziska Zaugg. The distinctive blue Inner Wheel VW bus will be hard to miss as it stops at "Choufhüsi" on Marktgasse from 9:00 am onwards. Members from different Inner Wheel Clubs will be present to provide information about their humanitarian projects and make them visible to the public.

Stop 2: March 16, Winterthur

March marks the second stop of the bus tour in Winterthur. The VW bus will be ready in Graben from 9:00 am, inviting visitors to learn more about Inner Wheel activities. The focus will be on how the clubs contribute to supporting regional and national projects, bringing about positive changes in society.

Stop 3: April 20, Lucerne

The picturesque city of Lucerne on Lake Lucerne serves as the third stop for the Inner Wheel bus tour. The blue VW bus will be parked on Franziskanerplatz near the Franciscan Church throughout the morning, drawing the attention of passersby to the significant work of Inner Wheel Clubs. This will be an opportunity to present and explain more about Inner Wheel and its planned donation projects.

Stop 4: June 1, Morges

The bus tour concludes in Morges, where the first Inner Wheel Club in Switzerland was founded. On the first of June, the VW bus will be at the marketplace, representing the Inner Wheel community.

The main goal of the Inner Wheel bus tour is to increase the visibility of the organisation and inform people from different cities about their collective efforts. Member clubs will showcase their social action and humanitarian activities and encourage the public to participate in donation and fund-raising projects.

The bus tour provides a unique opportunity to meet the women behind Inner Wheel and gain insight into the valuable work they do. By acting across clubs, Inner Wheelians strengthen their community and demonstrate how Inner Wheel Clubs – under the motto of the Governor – move forward together into the future.
